ISEA Annual Conference 2017
GES attended the annual NIRIG ISEA solar conference in Croke Park this week.
The event was well attended and highlighted the progress that solar energy has made in Ireland over the last number of years. The core message from the conference was that while solar is well placed to meet the renewable energy targets, there are still a number of hurdles that need to be jumped before solar farms become viable. Issues such as the Enduring Connection Policy
Stage 1 (ECP-1) batch proposals and the delay on subsidies were discussed in depth.
GES were present at the conference with our stand (pictured below) discussing our range of services to the solar sector. In addition we were also showcasing our solar measurement mast. Already in operation across a number of sites in Ireland, it allows for real time solar radiation data to be collected prior to construction and adds an additional benefit when determining AEP calculations.
