Galetech Energy Services is a leading renewable energy consultancy services company based in Ireland. GES provides development support, technical advisory, project management & engineering services from project feasibility through to construction and operation on wind and solar energy projects, both in Ireland and internationally. With the expansion of our business, an opportunity has arisen for a project planner to join our planning team.
The post will involve the project management and preparation of planning applications and environmental assessments, together with policy research, advisory support, due diligence and feasibility studies for a variety renewable energy projects.
Applicants must hold a recognised (IPI or RTPI) planning qualification and have at least three years’ professional experience, be highly self-motivated, organised and have the ability to deliver projects to deadlines.
Good communication and report writing skills and a sound knowledge of planning law policy and practice in Ireland are essential. Familiarity with the renewable energy sector and knowledge of GIS or other design software packages would be an advantage.
The role will suit a planner who has the ambition to work within the rapidly expanding and challenging renewable energy sector. The successful candidate can expect a flexible working environment and the opportunity to work from either our Cavan or Cork office.
Salary is negotiable and dependent upon experience. Full clean drivers licence is essential.
